So, based on recent experiences, I got to wondering how much time people spent on their anniversary boards. I haven't visited mine (Sept-07) since a few months after I got married. I went over there today just to see if anyone visited, and there were tumbleweeds blowing through NestAnni's posts. I guess my anniversary board never interested me that much b/c it was such a loosely knit bonding experience - a shared month in one year isn't much to go on. Whereas the other boards I spend time on - this one & MM - I feel I have much more in common and multiple interests to post about with other people. I also know that a lot of the women that were on my anniversary board who interested me the most are on this board b/c we could talk about common vendors, locations, etc during planning.
So, (1) do you spend time on your anniversary board? (2) if yes, how much time? and (3) what draws you there?
Re: Anniversary Boards
We have anniversary boards? I'm off to check mine out.
ETA: Looks like they only go back to 2006. No anniversary boards for knottie old timers??

ditto.
1-no (nor did I pre wedding when it was my month board)
2-n/a
3-I visited the board a few months after the wedding and the posts then were all about babies & pregnancy. At the time I was having a freak out about the state of my marriage (I did not realize how hard married life would be) and babies were the last thing on my mind! So I guess that's what doesn't draw me to my anniversary board!
Tee-hee! Yup!
Even if there was, I don't think I'd spend much or any time over there. I prefer the specific-interest boards, whether it's cincinnati-specific or baby-specific.

I have not visited my anniversary board for awhile (its been at least a year)... I could never really connect with them after the wedding. It seemed that there was always complaining and drama over there. I just checked it out again and did not recognize any of the SNs from back in the day.....
Regardless, I like it hear on our local Cincinnati board & the Cincinnati Bump board. I LOVE my local internet friends
I used to lurk before our wedding but they were very vary snarky and if you didn't get "in" well in advance before your wedding they didn't like you. It's like you had to know about the knot and that board a year before your wedding. God forbid someone post anything even and introduction at any point. They were tear you up and talk s**t weeks after. They ended up creating some type of chat board where you had to have a log in and password. I haven't checked the nest in a while but last time there weren't any post. I'm sure they are all still on their "private" board somewhere out in the online world.
This is me too! Although, I never got into the national board scene. I much prefer the close-knit group in Cincy.

My anniversary board is my main board/home base. I've been on it since I got engaged, and most of the girls are still there. It's a great place, I don't plan on leaving it for a long long time.
We are 99.9% snark free, and are having a big GTG in Chicago this summer. It's a lot of what girlfriends would just talk about, they are wonderful!
Ditto. It's the same board.

1) Yes
2) about 50%
3) they are a nice group of ladies for the most part. Some drama, but not much.
1) Yes
2) about 25%
3) because it's a drama free, supportive, and fun group of ladies. There are a couple other girls from Cincinnati on that board too.
