Ummm. Am I the only one that thinks that sounds nasty? I am browsing on All Recipes and I keep seeing recipes for mashed potato taco's and enchilada's and stuff like that...

Re: Mashed Potato Taco's?
Maybe I just haven't really ever heard of them before, so maybe that's why I can't imagine it?
This was the recipe that I came across.
http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Mashed-Potato-Tacos/Detail.aspxIt doesn't sound *that* bad to me... maybe like a Shepard's Pie but with a taco shell as opposed to pie crust.
It seems like just meat and potatoes with maybe some cheese thrown in... and some corn and rice... maybe a little lettuce?
It sort of sounds like someone just went "I feel like meat and potatoes... but I want to make it Mexican, so I'll add this here taco shell! TADA!"
Ew, ew, ew. and did you see the quote to the sides that says it's a good kid's snack? Potatoes, french fried onions and cheese in a fried tortilla shell is a good snack? No wonder there are so many obese kids.
::steps off soapbox::
Ummmmm...
May I retract my last statement?
I just noticed you posted the recipe, so I checked it out... I didn't see that when I made my first post, and I was thinking the taco was like a *normal* taco with meat and VEGETABLES.
There is NOTHING healthy about that. It's like PURE starch. Gross.
