Show recommendations?
My mom is coming to visit me in April and we always go to see a show. I have been so busy this last year and honestly have no idea what the new/hot show is out there. Any suggestions? We saw Wicked last year and she loved it.
Also any good places to get tickets in advance (don't want to do the same day since it isn't guaranteed and we can really only go during 1 weekend). Used to get from an old coworker that had some connections.

i saw rock of ages with my mom at christmas and though she's not a show person, she loved it. i don't think it's the right show for every mother/daughter but my mom loves the 80s music so it was good for us. very cheesy and fun. you can get some cheaper tickets the day of the show or book online/go to the box office.
I saw Phantom a few years ago and really liked it.
I'm going to see In The Heights this weekend, so I can report back on Monday if you'd like!
