Question for Post-Mirena users
This is kind of a specific question regarding after effects of Mirena. I have recently had the Mirena taken out, as DH and I will probably start TTC this summer and I wanted to get regulated again. When I had it (for about 3 years) I lost my period, which wasnt a bad thing, it's normal for some users. However, I've had it out for 3 months now and still have not had a period. I am using the Nuvaring, but when I used this in the past I did have my period. My question is for anyone who has used the Mirena, how long did it take getting back to "normal" after having it removed? I have taken a pregnancy test and it was negative. Thanks in advance!

I went straight from Mirena to a standard BCP. This is my first month back on BCP and my period is completely back to what it was pre Mirena. Now, I had mirena for 2 years and my period never went away completely. but it was much lighter. This month has been much heavier, and more what i remember it being before.
and you can get pregnant immediately after having mirena removed. You have to use another form of protection as soon as it's removed if you're not ttc.
