  You shouldn't have sex 24 hours before the appointment. No need to hold out all week.

  I would get some now while you still can. If you have to have a biopsy with the colposcopy you won't be able to have sex for a couple of weeks (2-3 I can't remember).

  I had an irregular pap a couple of years ago. Just don't have sex the day before you go. After the colposcopy you have to wait a week to have sex. Talk to your doc to clarify though. Just call the office and ask if you need to do anything special before your colposcopy. All doctors have different requirements or ideas of what you should do.

  You're fine to have sex for the next few days, but you should stop having sex 24 hours before so they get accurate results. Also, don't worry about when you can have sex after b/c you'll know. You maybe be sore for a day or two, so when it stops hurting, you're good. Not sure what they told you about transportation, but I would recommend having someone drive you there and back. It's uncomfortable on the way home and you won't want to have to concentrate on driving when it's uncomfortable/painful to go over any bumps in the road.

  I had this and in the UK I wasn't told not to have sex before. Afterwards, tbh, you probably won't want to for a couple of days. It's fine but it's a little uncomfortable.

   While pps are correct on not having sex 24 hrs before the colpo, you should NOT have sex immediately afterwards.  If I remember correctly from GYN rounds, nothing of any kind in the vagina for a few days after the procedure and no baths.  You'll also have some coffee ground like bleeding/discharge for a few days after as well.  Procedures are very common, but definitely heed your physicians advice on the matter. GL! You'll be fine ;0)
