Proactive solution

My face is breaking out majorly since stopping BC. Did proactive work for any of you or anyone you know. I'm thinking of ordering it.

TIA

Re: Proactive solution

  • Its funny you bring this up because I'm almost out of my proactiv but I'm hesitating ordering it.  I've used it for years and have no complaints other than a little drying around my eyebrows/nose area.  I only use it once a day, in the mornings.  Anyway, the reason why I'm hestiating is because its so expensive. And when you order they automatically set you up on auto refill and take your payment out automatically.  One good thing is you can change the frequency of shipments but you have to ask them for that.  They don't offer that upfront. I was paying $48 with shipping but I notice they have the proactiv kisoks in my local mall but I haven't checked out the pricing. But overall, I really do love the product its just expensive.

Have you looked into ordering it from Amazon?

  • I bought from the kiosk once, Step 1 & 2 are 4oz & Step 3 is around 1.5 oz for around $60.....this lasted me about 5 months.  I was informed that the mail order is 1/2 the size of what I mentioned above but ends up costing more in the long run--does that make sense??
  • I tried it for about a week and had an allergic reaction to it. :-(
  • Don't even get me started on how much I hate this company and their customer service.  But all of that aside, it did not work for me.
  • I like it. I've really never had acne but DH ordered it so started using it to. I pay $45 for the 3 step system every 3 months. I switched because it's a lot cheaper than I was paying for skin care. I do have to use another moisturizer a few times a week to prevent drying out.
  • It didn't work for me either... and made my skin very dry which actually caused more breakouts! Unfortunelty I'm still on the hunt for that magic product...

Curious about Skin ID??? Wonder if it's similar.

  • it didn't work for me, and i have the same problem.  I went off the bcp 8 mos ago and my skin went nuts.  I bought a Pretika (clarisonic type thing) and use Checks and Balances from Origins... this seems to be finally working for me.  I've tried it all, and have failed!
  • ooh that's good advice!  I LOVE my Clarisonic and I know so many other people who had really good luck with it.
