well the job hunt was going well - i'd met with a few people and turned down some jobs that weren't the right fit. then I found out I was pregnant so the job hunt/switch is officially on hold. I'm going to stay put and take advantage of my mat leave with the company. If I switch jobs it'll likely be contract so no top up plus I don't think i can handle a new job with a whole new life state. Just too much to deal with all at once if I don't have to.
that being said I do hope to make the switch eventually - now it's a matter of when.
Good call on keeping your job with the good benefits, you've been working there long enough, might as well take advantage of the all the perks!
And now that you have the courses done for your new job plan I'm sure it will make it a lot easier to transition to a new role when the right time/opportunity presents itself.
