That's the headline in our local paper this morning! We are supposed to have blizzard-like conditions tomorrow into Friday, bringing up to a foot or more of snow. Yikes! I hope my agency closes and I can take a snow day!
Albany ladies, did you guys get hammered with snow already and are expecting more tomorrow and Friday as well?
Stay safe everyone!

Re: Hurricane force winds??
exactly. i think this is part of the reason winter gets so long!
I LOVE snowstorms...when I don't have to go anywhere
Luckily, tomorrow is my day off but Friday is my last day at my current job. Hopefully the snow will have lightened up by 11am.
I realized last night that I have turned into my mother - I lay awake for 20 minutes last night thinking about all these "what ifs..". I now have a full storm plan...DH thinks I'm crazy. Which I probably am!
Stay warm and safe girls!
Yeah we are getting hammered in the Albany area. Over 300 schools in the area are closed today. We had snow, then rain, then snow so it's really wet and heavy. It's only amounted to about 8 inches in my area because the rain packed it down but where my sister lives has 2 feet and counting! Poor thing doesn't have power or phone or anything either and she's 7 months pregnant! Only positive is that she has a wood stove to keep her warm.
We are supposed to continue to get snow until Friday evening. A second storm is coming in Thursday night I believe. I'm not sure what they will do for these next few days with schools and businesses in the area.
According to the weather service we have about a foot in Albany. I hate this super wet/heavy stuff. As I'm walking it's falling out of trees and goes "splat!" on my coat- yuck, that's not what snow does!!
I heard another foot by tomorrow, then a 3rd system coming in by the weekend? It's stopped for now...
