Snow Delays

Some kids have snow delays this morning!  My town doesn't, but I am going to Westford to pick up the chicks and they do.  Looking out my window the streets look fine.  It looks like mostly rain.  I can't wait for Spring!

Re: Snow Delays

  • Hm, I wonder how bad the roads will be?  We don't have any snow here, just rain but maybe its slick and icy.

  • It's definitely snow here, be careful!

  • yeah it was deceiving this morning.  All rain at my house.  Left for work on 495.  Hit Rt 2, turned to big huge snowflakes.  Hit 111, traffic came to a halt because of snow plows taking up all 3 lanes.  Got off at 117 and slowly made my way down 85 and 20 to get to work.  Took me almost twice as long as normal.

  • Maybe I should get in the shower now then....I thought it was kind of strange that Westford had a delay but didn't think much of it since it is just the next town over.
  • Lots of rain down in Boston.  Sounds like 495 must be the rain/snow line.
  • We had a good 3-4" on the ground at my house. I was surprised. It changed to rain by the time I got outside around 7:20. The road I take to Rt.2 had tire tracks to the pavement and Rt.2 and south was clear. But it sounds like Worcester county is getting hit hard.

495 belt always seems to be the magic line between not so bad and bad.

  • It's just rain here but I have to head to framingham today for a bit. I hope it's not snowing there. I'm counting down the days to warmer weather!
  • These comments are all making me think I might work from home today instead, I'm still feeling sick and it just looks and sounds nasty outside...

I would.  I don't have much of a choice right now with what's going on work, but if it was a normal day, I totally would have worked from home

  • meh, I'm unimpressed. They closed Worcester schools, but by 8;30, it'd changed to rain, and ?it was all slush by 10am. It was a little slippery then, but by the time I got to work at 11, it's all just rain and wet.

They're still saying 8 inches for Worcester, though, I have no idea how they think it'll get cold enough for that.?
