Spring, I'm excited for spring. Easter is not one of my celebrations, but Passover starts a few days before. That's gonna be tough with the exception of Matzoh Toffee.
What is this Toffee you speak of?
I have been ready!!! I am so sick of the snow- we finally have some green (well, brown) patches showing on our lawn again and now there's supposed to be another 5-10 inches tomorrow! UGH.
I am so ready to open the window in the house and plant a garden and yes, BBQ and drink beer outside, and see the sun, and everything!

oh me too! Hubby and I were craving "summer food" so we made bbq chicken. Got it all ready and went to start the charcoal in the grill and couldn't do it because it is pretty much encased in ice and we couldn't get to the air inlet controls under all the snow and frozen gunk. So bummed. It tasted good, even if I had to bake it instead!
On a side note, I repeated 4 letter words in my head this morning as I was scraping frost of my car... again...in temperatures round about 0. Ugh. I'm over winter.
That's Bower Ponds here in Red Deer. I am posting this pic to show the type of fog that has been blanketing our city since the start of February. While I actually love fog I am starting to forget what the sun was like. I also just want to sit on the balcony and drink beer and play scrabble!
This is matzoh toffee.
Heaven. That recipe doesn't have nuts but we always add almonds. Pistachios would also be excellent. So, so, so, so yum.
