lowe's carpet estimate, yikes!
$6,703.00! i think we will be skipping the carpet and just give a carpet allowance for buyers. i don't think we will be able to get the money back out of the house!

Home Depot has a special right now...$99 carpet installation for your whole house. My boss is renovating due to a massive flood and went to Lowe's since she liked their selection better and they said they would honor that price, but they aren't advertising it. I don't know if this would change your mind or not but if it will you should definitely ask them to honor this!

we got the lowe's special of $97 whole house install! yet it still amounted to $6,703!
I'm confused than what is the $2489 for? Would the labor be considered "intsall?" I've never had to carpet shop, so I guess I'm wrong. Sorry!

there are all these other labor charges....tearing up, laying the pads, throwing out, moving furniture. it seems pretty shady because i thought total install would be $97!
That's definitely shady. I just found this on Home Depot's website so it looks like they are pulling the same stunt. Ridiculous...
