The entire mortgage crisis summed up, according to bulldoglover:
MATH transcends all languages, 5+5 is the same whether you speak English, Spanish, or Chinese. If you cannot understand your own household budget and how much you can afford to spend each month, then I really do not think you have any business borrowing money to buy a house.
Even the most conservative and personal-responsibility poster on here (i.e. the intelligent board) recognizes that the problem is a bit more complicated than people just knowingly spending more than they make, am I right????
I find it really hard to believe that this person has ever seen an actual mortgage agreement. My DH and I are pretty well-educated people, and trying to figure out our mortgage made our head spin. I can only imagine what it must be like for people who aren't as educated or don't speak English fluently.
Obviously the argument can be made that if they didn't fully understand it, they shouldn't have signed it. That's a completely valid argument. But please please don't try to tell me that the problem is as simple as 5+5.
AAARRRRRGHHHH!!
Re: E08- banging head against wall
It's easy to give a simple explanation of a complex problem they don't understand. Wonder how those Wall Street investors haven't managed to figure out the problem. Apparently the solution was here on the nest all the time!
p.s. Don't waste brain cells on a head injury for that crowd!
