I wonder if they tested...
for immunity to chicken pox during my pregnancy bloodwork.. i just thought of that... i never got them, i've been exposed plenty of times just never got a case of them. It just made me wonder bc an old neighbor of mine just posted she has them at 28yrs old after she's been exposed many many times and never got them!
Re: I wonder if they tested...
I believe my OB said the first round of bloodwork is to test for diseases and immunities to certain things but i can't remember. I did mention that i never got chicken pox and she said that worst case scenerio is i'd need to get the vaccine but never heard anything after that.
Also, yes you can be immune according to my primary care dr. I didn't know either but about 3 yrs ago I went in for a rash and he asked if i had ever gotten them and i said no he told me that once we start TTC I should be tested for immunity and if i'm not immune i need to get vaccinated. Needless to say, i never went to get the bloodwork done....
I never got them either! I've been exposed over and over. I do plan to get my kids vaccinated though. I'm too scared to vaccinated...
