Snow Plows....vent

If those stupid snow plows come around and knock any more snow from the piles in front of our house into my driveway for ME to clean up I'm going to scream.

Yes I just watched them do this and I totally do not want to deal before going to work.

Vent over...ish.

Re: Snow Plows....vent

  • I know I hate it too!  I was so happy to see that one guy when he plowed last night actually went into my driveway to push the snow to the other side and clear the end of my driveway.  It was a first and much appreciated!  I can't believe they would plow us in when they clear the road.  Makes no sense!
  • It does stink, but the alternative is that they would have to stop and shovel out every person's driveway.  That doesn't make much sense either.  My biggest pet peeve is people who have their driveways plowed and then leave a giant pile of snow in the middle of the road.  I guess the bottom line is that snowstorms suck all around!

  • Oh no I get that they have to plow but this was the day after....this morning and it went around cutting them back which I know they have to do too but really....couldn't they have done it yesterday after they were all done with the plowing for driving and get it all done in one day. Shoveling so many damn times is getting annoying.

  • Well, after surviving the blizzard here in DC, I say be thankful. :) Our plows are crap (we have very few real plows, mostly large trucks with plows attached). Some streets are still not plowed out from the snow that hit 3 weeks ago. It was a disaster. I know many people wouldn't mind digging out the end of their driveways a couple times if they could have actually left their house (this is no exaggeration, people were stranded!)

    Agreed!

I was shocked when I saw they cleared my driveway.  I think it was because my driveway is so wide and at the end of the road.

  • DH purposely cleans out a few extra feet in our front yard so the plow can't knock it into our driveway. So what does the plow guy do? Comes through in the right direction, then turns around and comes back along our side of the street again, knocking huge boulders of snow into our perfectly clean driveway. Did he do this to the other side of the street? Of course not. Grr.
