Census Takers
Anyone considering this as a part-time gig? I never thought of getting a pt job but it seems pretty easy and they pay well. I like the idea of extra $$

ETA: I just called, and have an appt to take the test on Tuesday. Thank you, thank you! for mentioning this. For some reason, it passed by my job searching radar (probably because it's not FT, but I don't care right now)
Looks like going around neighborhoods (yours and ones close to you), to ask for a brief "interview" about the household. Then you write down the answers. End of your day, you report to your supervisor.

I'm a shy one too. But I think I can do this, since I don't have to sell anything! Especially for the money. If anything Tammy, maybe you can have a margarita or 2 to help you not be so shy! lol
Yay! I think it sounds like a pretty fun thing to do! Like Nicole said, it's not selling anything. I think most people would know what you are doing. I'm kind of shy when it comes to going door to door but for the money I think I can overcome that. My phobia is actually making the phone call. LOL
Ahhhh... OMG. I hate talking on the phone (and I can't stand listening to voicemails). I'd so much rather go door-to-door.

i just pictured myself stumbling around with a 6 pack of miller lite under my arm. I think people would lock their doors while I'm falling up their steps. ;-)
HAHAHAHAHA.
I am an overly anxious person so the first thing I thought of is knocking on a creepster's door. If I can over that phobia, I think it would be an easy way for me to make an extra buck!
I watch too much law and order SVU to do this job. HAHA.
