Stuff I didn't Know - How Milky Spore Works

I've heard of Milky Spore, but had no clue how it works. So, I used  "The Google" to find out what the stuff is and how it kills grubs in lawns. I found this site with some great info and wanted to pass it on!

I'm sure the advanced gardeners know how it works, but I know there are novices like me who have no clue! LOL

Re: Stuff I didn't Know - How Milky Spore Works

  • It's fascinating, isn't it?
  • Yes! LOL I feel like such a geek. I have a problem with beetles and slugs at my house. I've found quite a few white grubs in my flower beds. My lawn looks fine - no brown patches, but I've seen plenty of dead beetles around my plants.

So, this year, I'm waging war! LOL I saw the Milky spore on Gardener's Supply and wanted to know how it works. Wow - lots of info!

Kastle - BTW - Love your blog. I'm getting a late start on my seedlings this year too. We're 20 degrees below average here in TN. Normal Feb temps are in the upper 50s. Yesterday's high - 43. Right now, it's 36 degrees here. Sigh.

  • Thanks!  I'm totally over winter.  This morning I was able to see about 70% of my garden...the other 30% is still under snow.  I think the ground may be warming up close to on schedule so that's good.

I'm from FL originally...all this wintry stuff is new to me!
