  I was a bit disappointed in it yet it had it's moments. Not exactly an epic motion picture, didn't expect it to be, but parts of it were fun.

  I was not aware that there was an "original". I remember it being advertised as being similar to SATC. Since I was the only one in the world who didn't see SATC, I have no idea if it was even similar.

  anyway, yeah....the original stared Joan Crawford....i watched part of it on AMC the other night....it was getting interesting about the time i went to bed

  Never saw the original - but from the previews from SATC I thought was going to be much better.

   It had potential but just sort of fizzled - lots of story lines but the movie went no where with them.

  cool...I might like to see the original...I wonder how it differs...in the current movie the woman found herself and became (finally) confident enough to BE the woman she was meant to be. If the original was with Joan Crawford and had the same theme it was WAY ahead of it's time.

  My mom said she saw it and thought it was awful too.  She said it seemed like it was trying to be like SATC, and really no plot, and the characters just totally overexaggerated.  Not that I have time to go see a movie, but glad I didn't try!
