Any fun activites in Raleigh-Durham this weekend?
My college roommate is visiting and we will both be child-less for a day...any fun things we should check out while here? Not from the area, so any great advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

I do not want to do any tours or things like that....we're crafty ladies and love great buys.....shopping is always a win....but we're willing to try something differerent...like pottery places or something of the sort.

There are several consignment type shops you might like in the Glenwood South area of downtown Raleigh (here are links to two: http://www.revolverconsignmentboutique.blogspot.com/ andhttp://www.dressraleigh.com/) and you'd probably enjoy Cameron Village - which is super nice to walk around if its sunny out. You'd probably also like Ornamentea which is a craft shop on West St. in downtown (http://www.ornamentea.com/)
And there are tons of coffee shops and restaurants so you'd have places to stop in to sit and chat or grab a bite to eat.
Krispychiken, thanks for your response!
Cameron Village was definitely on my list. One of my co-workers mentioned some place between Fuquay and Raleigh where you can pick your own fabric and have a purse designed for you....but can't remember the name of the place. The only thing that I've found after googling are the "Stitch" bags by Holly Aiken....does anyone know any more about this or if this is even the right place?
