What a morning! (TMI)

Problem A:  I've always had this problem (even before pg) of occasionally vomiting a little when brushing my teeth in the morning.  When I have an empty stomach I gag myself too easily and sometimes throw up just a little.  I've always hated it, but can't seem to prevent it.  Well, since becoming pg, this happens at least twice a week.

Problem B: In just the past few weeks, I  have found myself tinkling just wee bit (no pun intended!) sometimes when I sneeze or cough really hard.  I wear pantyliners all the time now.  They work fine, since it's usually only a tiny bit that comes out.

Well......you  can probably see where this is going!

Problem A, meet Problem B.  Embarrassed

So, I accidentally gagged myself on my toothbrush this morning, promptly threw up, then felt wetness down my leg.  Looked down, and there's a puddle on the bath mat.  Sigh.  Back into the shower I go, at least for the bottom half.  I was equal-parts laughing and crying when I came downstairs the tell MH.

Just thought you could use a laugh this morning!  Stick out tongue

  • LOL! Oh the joys of being pg huh?Wink
  • Aww I'm gigling but just a little I promise. If it helps any I also tinkle a little when I sneeze or while brushing my teeth (I like to get the back of my tongue).

  • you poor thing, that's not a nice way to start the day...glad you can see the humor in it though. Yes
  • oh man..what a way to start your day!

i am with you on the teeth brushing - pukey smurf connection.  I can only brush the tip of my tongue otherwise I am in trouble.  Hopefully that goes away as I get a little further along!

This was me too! I could not brush my whole tongue or I would profusely gag for minutes afterwards. It was awful... sad thing, DH used to come in the bathroom just to watch me gag, he thought it was the funniest thing ever!

  • LMAO!!! You are so funny!

I had this very same problems earlier in my pg!!! I've tissed myself (throwing up + pee) more times than I want to remember. I wish I would have laughed at it then like you are doing instead of feeling so sorry for myself. BTW- both problems have got sooo much better for me since about 20-21 weeks :-)

  • LMAO isn't pregnancy wonderful? Stick out tongue

I think the incontinence has got to be the most embarassing thing...the other day I freaked out a little because I thought I was leaking amniotic fluid. Took a closer look and nope - just dribbling a bit down there because I'm losing bladder control. It used to just be when I sneezed, but it looks like now it will happen any ole time it feels like it. Sad

Oh yes.... I remember this. I used to carry around an extra pair of panties!

  • Isn't it wonderful to discover these 'joys' of pregnancy no one ever seems to clue you in on BEFORE you get pregnant?  Stick out tongue  MH has come up with an endearing nickname for me, SneezyPee, and thinks that it's one of the funniest things in the world.

What else can you do but laugh about stuff like this, right?
