I listed my old, falling apart car on Craig's List yesterday. I'm getting a new car the beginning of April and thought it would take a while to sell. Well, I got a TON of responses. I'm half tempted to tell everyone it's been sold and re list it for more money. Of course, I won't. My luck has been bad enough, they last thing I need is some bad Karma. There's a chick coming to see it tonight. Wish me luck, she buys it. If not, I have 2 dozen other potential buyers so no big deal.
And I found a $10 bill on the sidewalk yesterday. That was fun! Of course, I immediately spent it at the car wash, lol.
Re: A couple of goods!
Awesome! I hope you get it sold quick& easily.
Woo! for $10!! Free money is always a plus.
YEAH!!! I am glad you have a couple of goods you are very deserving! I hope the car sells quickly and easily! That is awesome you have that many interested!
Can I ask how the house/oil thing is going?
Of course. It's ok I guess. They hauled all of our oil covered things out of the basement Tuesday night and pumped out the oil per MDE (Maryland Environmental). They came back yesterday and cleaned the basement. Meanwhile, DH and I went through all of our stuff to see if we wanted to save anything. Most of the stuff we store down there was kept in big Rubbermade bins. In the end we decided to trash everything. Even though a lot of the stuff didn't get wet, it just STUNK! We're both a little heartbroken by a lot of the sentimental stuff we tossed. Then the insurance adjuster came by and photographed everything. The guys doing the clean-up loaded everything in a truck and dumped it. They came back today to see if the oil was seeping through the concrete. If it was, they would start jackhammering the concrete slab out. Luckily, everything looks good for now. They will be back on Monday to check again. The whole house smells terrible! I just hope it get out eventually.
On a positive note, we are planning on buying a new house sometime in the next year. We have a lot less crap to move now! The only Christmas ornament I have left is the one from the Knottie exchange this year that I never packed away with the others.
Oh Jenni that's so sad
I'm so sorry you're having to go through this $hit. At least they seem to be taking care of it....but I would be so heartbroken if I lost all of my Christmas ornaments. big hugs!

Thanks Ali. It's not as bad as it could be. Several years ago I lost all of the childhood ornaments in a flood. My grandma used to buy me one every year with my name and the date. That hurt.
Woohoo!!
