I think I remember awhile ago a post about the cost of your irrigation company.  And it being reasonable.

We had some frozen pipes burst which caused damage to our irrigation system.  My irrigation company is charging us too much IMO.  I would like to get some other prices.  Can you recommend your irrigation company?

TIA!

  • Oh bummer, sorry to hear that :(  Did the irrigation company not blow them out sufficiently?

I'll have to get the info for you when I get home.  I'm not sure if you're looking for someone to do repairs, but we've only used these guys to simply blow out the system at the end of Fall.  We've used two different companies before so I'll get you both names.

  • Well, we had the carpet and furniture cleaned in December.  That company turned on the water and never turned it back off.  We didn't even think to check it.

My insurance company is trying to get back the deductible for us, but in the meantime I would rather shop for better prices in case we don't recover our deductible.

    I appreciate it!

  • That sounds kind of strange.  The water shouldn't have ever been "off" per se; it's just that you blow the water out of the sprinkler pipes and don't turn the sprinklers on again until it warms up so there's no water in the lines that can freeze.  But the water isn't ever "off" as far as I know and they would have had to turn on your sprinklers to cause an issue.

Anyway, I'm sorry you have to deal with this.  I'm just thinking out loud.  Will get the info to you later, and if I forget and you don't see something from me by tonight, page me and remind me.
