Things to do in Manchester, VT?

There's a deal on Travelzoo for a resort there and I'm thinking of doing a last-minute trip with DH while we both have a little time off.  I think there's snowboarding at a nearby mountain (know anything about Bromley?), but what else would there be to do there this time of year?
I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

Re: Things to do in Manchester, VT?

  • I'll ask a few friends... I have not spent any time in Manchester!
  • Wish I could help but I've never been. Let us know how it goes though, I'm always looking for new places to go.
  • I think of shopping when I hear about Manchester, VT.  I think there are outlets there and not far away is some great antiquing.  Bromley is not the largest mountain, but it does have a variety of trails from beginner to expert.

  • Bromley is a smaller mountain, has some good trails. Stratton is near it I think, which is a much more resort type mountain.

There are outlets, cute restaurants, and a small downtown. Enjoy

  • I've been there twice (and may go next week, still iffy). I shop.

The people I go with ski, at at least two different mountains that are really close by. I actually think once they went to Sunapee, which seems odd, that's not all that close.

I don't recall any sight-seeing in the area, although I'm sure there must be.

Oh and which resort? I stayed at the Equinox, very very nice. (the other time we rented a cabin)

  • Yep, the resort was Equinox.  DH has been doing some mountain research though and decided he wants to hit Okemo instead, so I guess I have to start all over on researching places to stay.

Maybe we'll make it to Manchester another time.

I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball
