It can't be done!

I have to pick 50 pictures for the wedding album, out of almost 600. I'm halfway though at and I'm at 71. ::headdesk:: I haven't even gotten to the reception pictures and there are so many good ones there!!

I mean, I own all the rights and I can print 4x6s of all of them and have them all forever, but I obviously want the pro album to be amazing and well rounded. Augh.

How many formal, after ceremony shots are including in yours? So far I only have us with my parents, brother and grandma; us with his parents, brother, grandpa and stepgrandma; and us with both sets of parents together (3 pics total). I haven't included us and my parents, us and his parents, us with my parents and my brother, us with his parents and his brother, etc.

Am I emphasizing the wrong thing? I seem to be emphasizing us and our bridal party more than anything, even pictures of just US together.

I am still waiting very impatiently for mine! I think having mostly you and you DH with your family and friends is good. I think it should be about you guys celebrating with your dearest friends.

I feel your pain it is tough, we have almost 900 pics and only 50 can go in our book. I actually have decided on them, it was very tough though. I start w/ a pic of us and then pics of me getting ready, my family shots (one w/my sister, one w/mom, one w/ mom & sis, one w/dad..etc) For our book it was really important for me to have the majority of the photos be of us with our families and then there are probably like 10 or so of just us. There are a few with the BMs and GMs and one of the whole party. I have some pics of us at the church especially when doing our vows and the reception is mainy first dances, cake and garter. I tried to get a good overview of everything, but it is really difficult when limited by numbers. Thank goodness for shutterfly, I will def. be making my own books and printing all of the photos. Your book should capture you guys and the memories that are most important to you about your special day...

I guess my photog was different...they picked about 60 to go in my album. From there, I can make as many changes as I want. It makes it seem so much less overwhelming!

Anyways, we have about 2 of each (1 my BP, 1 his, 1 my parents, 1 my family, 1 his parents, 1 his family, etc.) I think we only have 12 pics from formal/posed, 10 from the ceremony, and the rest were reception. BUT if you like the formals more, put however many you want! I agree with allie...it should capture what you like the most.

So I narrowed it down to 125 and I showed the list to DH who was like, "We don't need any of these!" Ummm... okay....

I made my own album...I wanted to have complete creative control. I chose 75 pics in total, but I focused mostly on the ceremony, and then there were a few formals, a few getting ready, and a few reception (with focus on the cake cutting, etc.).

DH actually helped choose the photos that we both wanted to go in the album...maybe have yours go through the pics on his own and choose his list and you guys can start by putting in the photos that you both agree on?

I completely understand! we have 1159 pics to choose from and I think around 65 go in the book! We haven't talked to our photog yet about the book - I am hoping she will have some suggestions since its one of those "coffee table books" that is all about graphic design etc. Not looking forward to having to pick the pictures...
