  • oh, thanks!  yes, i think i'm going to go and get one...i wouldn't attach it to the bed, but i think it will be really nice to have the baby right next to me.  i have a friend who is due in june, and i think we are goign to split the cost and she can use it when i'm done.

    thanks! :)

that is an option for us....i just don't know if we have the room.  We just bought a new bed the other day b/c our frame collapsed (don't ask - LOL) and it is much bigger in our room than we had anticipated.  but it would save us $$.  we are going to try to rearrange things this weekend and make a decision.

    thanks, for the input!

  • I think it's great that you and your friend are splitting it...you might not need it! My SIL lent us her bassinet and we hardly used it. Nadia's been in her crib since almost day one. (Granted, her room is literally 3 feet from ours) But it was also hard for me to sleep with her in the room because every little peep she made kept me awake and she's a noisy, grunty sleeper :)

that's what i'm afraid of.  our house is pretty small, and the baby's room is really close to ours....i don't know what to do!!  maybe we'll just shove the pack n play in there for a couple of weeks....

B slept in a bassinet in our room for 10 weeks.  If I had to do it over again, I would put him in the crib from Day 1.  We all spet better in our own rooms.  Babies make a lot of tiny noises.

When we go visit my parents, he sleeps in a PNP in the room we sleep in, and I sleep like crap. ;)

Good call on splitting the cost.  If you do end up using it, you won't use it for long. (size issues).

    Bwahahahaaaa! Love you guys! LOL

  • Put her in her nursery.

As Elisa said, her noises will keep you up more than anything.

Oh speaking of.. .my little angel just woke up from her nap Indifferent

  • We have our PnP set up in our room (still- I put Katie in there in the morning while I'm getting ready for work), but she slept in it until she was about 5 weeks old and sleeping more than 2 hours at a stretch at night.  That way, I could just bring her into bed to nurse her, then put her back in the PnP when she was finished instead of draggin my tired butt down the hall.
