My opinion on the Katie Couric interview.
I finally got to watch it, and to be honest, I turned it off about 3/4s through it. My take is that they need to just let her talk, rather than worry about specific soundbites. It was like she's been muzzled. I think it would benefit the campaign far more to let her speak, even if that means she's "off message" at times.
The interview was bad, no doubt. I'm disappointed. I still stand by my take that she's intelligent and capable, now I'm just hoping she gets the opportunity to prove it in the debate. They need to coach her without changing her into an overthinking mess. Ugh.
Re: My opinion on the Katie Couric interview.
I only saw one soundbite, but if it was any indication of what the rest of the interview was like...not good. I also hope that she performs really well in the VP debate. Otherwise, it is going to be extremely painful.
I did not see it. I won't give Katie Couric, whom I detest, an audience, plus I forgot when it was on.
KJ Lopez of National Review said much the same thing as you did, KateAggie, that she just has to be herself, not parrot McCain's views of things or overthink to the pt. of paralysis
Glad you are back, 2Vermont.
