Hubby's B-day

Hello ladies! :)

I have been thinking about this for a while and really don't know what to do. My hubby's b-day will be 2 weeks after we get married and a week after we get back from our honeymoon. I REALLY would like to do something special, but need some help! :)

TIA! :)

Re: Hubby's B-day

  • My advice - from a man's perspective - is to do something heart-felt and sexual but not too elaborate. Pancakes in the shapes of hearts included in breakfast-in-bed, greeting him at the door wearing nothing but a smile, that sort of thing. And a gift or two that he'll love and use - tools he doesn't have, that suit he was looking at last week, or whatever.
  • I would recommend something simple, cook a nice dinner and dessert.  DH always said the best bdays were the ones that were very simple, no gifts and just us.  After the wedding and honeymoon, a nice quiet evening he will probably appreciate.

    this..

  • DH's birthday was during our honeymoon so I got him a cake at our rehearsal dinner and surprised him.  It was really nice because family members were there that wouldn't have been otherwise.

  • Something low key since you will have just gotten back from the honeymoon. I second a quiet dinner, or perhaps a dinner somewhere that is special to both of you. Is there a diner you frequent? Somewhere you had a first date, etc? This would kind of keep the fun/honeymoon theme going about it being about the two of you.

You could also keep your eyes peeled on your honeymoon for something special for him for his birthday if you wanted to give him a gift. If you're going somewhere tropical or somewhere they have local vendors, etc, look for things he would love to have. If he likes to cook, get him steak rubs from the island, etc.

  • yes, make him a really nice dinner, then be the birthday gift! Like wear the most sexiest lingerie and wrap your self in birthday paper and let him unwrap you and surprise!!! I would do that, if i were brave enough. LOL!
