Square Foot Garden!!!
I got my square foot garden set up yesterday, and I'm stoked. The hardest part was mixing all the soil. I have a bad back, so I'm not strong enough to lift all the bags of soil, so I mixed it in my wheelbarrow, in the spot where my husband had left the bags, using a big bucket (5 gallon- the size that bulk laundry detergent comes in at Sam's) to measure it out, and then I rolled it over and dumped it in. I had most of it done by the time DH got home from work yesterday.
We still have to make the grid today, but we should be able to start planting next weekend. I'm so excited!
I think I'm going to make a 1X4 or 2X2 12-in root veggie garden today, too.

I planted potatoes, onions, garlic, lettuce and sugar snap peas last weekend
