Fredericksburg B&B recs?

A friend is looking into B&B in Fredericksburg and has a list of them but doesn't know which are the ones to look into and avoid. Any suggestions?

Re: Fredericksburg B&B recs?

  • Rose Hill is awesome.  The grounds are beautiful and their little restaurant is gourmet- it's wonderful.  It's actually in Stonewall, a few miles outside of Fredericksburg.

I've also stayed at Settler's Crossing.  They have moved old houses and cabins onto their property and restored & furnished them.  That was a pretty neat place to stay too.

I would recommend both of those.  If she decides to look elsewhere, my advice would be to find a B&B that is NOT on Main St.

  • We have stayed at Austin Street Retreat, we had the one with a courtyard and it was super nice.

It's not a b&b necessarily, but they have coffee maker and fridge and a small kitched if you want to make your own breakfast.

  • I LOVE http://www.runnymedecountryinn.com/ Friendly owners, great food and cute accommodations. I can't wait to go back.

  • We stayed at the Cat's Meow for our first anniversary and thought it was very nice. They have several cabins, and a smaller room overtop their garage. It's a few miles past Fredericksburg.

  • We stayed at Town Creek B&B in the Planter's Suite and absolutely loved it!  It was a cute, private, romantic room.  The room also had it's own front patio.
