Do any DFW area Costcos...
sell liquor?
I've heard the Kirkland brand vodka is made my Grey Goose.
My local one (West Plano) doesn't see it, and I know the one by my parents in Southlake doesn't. Just beer and wine at those.
Re: Do any DFW area Costcos...
They can only sell beer and wine, it is a TABC law. Only actual liquor stores can sell liquor.
Rumor is that is why Trader Joes will not build stores in TX... bummer...
? PP said a FW Costco sells liquor and I've been to one in Austin that does too.
By liquor, I am referring to spirits such as vodka, rum etc.. Any grocery retailer by law can sell beer, wine and champagne. Anything else must be sold in a "liquor store" Maybe pp is referring to "Western Beverage" which is a liquor store next to that Costco in Ft. Worth????
this. they do sell liquor and its apart of the Costco building and just says "Liquor" above the door.
Just out of curiosity I called about this, b/c I am a huge Grey Goose fan, and if I can get this Kirkland brand vodka, which is getting great reviews on the web and is about $30 for a 1.75 liter, I am all for it.
The liquor store is not owned by Costco, they just rent the space. They do not carry Kirkland brand liquor, in fact the guy told me that you would not be able to find this anywhere in Texas, as Costo is not licensed to sell liquor in the state of Texas.
Cheers!
