Argh.

Here's my confession:  I ended up in the ER this week, again.  Official diagnosis is yet another anxiety/panic attack, although I didn't feel the least bit anxious until this ER doc started getting all condescending with me.

Anyway, things are stressful.  Biopsy Tuesday.  We move in a week.  I have the baby shower from hell to host next Saturday.  We go to court in Iowa in 3 weeks.

So, I just did not need this phone call today:

Me:  Hello?

Mom:  Are you home?

Me: Yes...

Mom:  We're on our way, we'll be there in 2 hours.

Me: WHAT?????

Turns out my parents bought us a fridge for the new house and are bringing it here tonight.  While this is great, and we needed a fridge, I am not in "mom mode" right now, and she's going to be here ALL EFFING WEEK anyway!  That's right, to help with the girls on Tuesday, she's coming up Monday and staying until Thursday.  And as for why she didn't just bring the fridge on Monday, she said she wasn't comfortable driving my dad's truck with that much weight in the back.  Apparently it also won't "fit" in their garage (they're both coming back next weekend when we move).

Oy.  I need a drink.

Re: Argh.

  • Maybe you should get the doc to give you some Xanax or Ativan.  You might need to medicate your mom this week.  Just sayin' you might like her better if one of you is medicated.  I vote for her (since it could interfere with all the stuff you've go going on).  Smile

Just kidding, sweetie. Smile  Deep breaths.  Thoughts and prayers for you this week with all the hectic stuff going on.  We're right here if you need to vent.

  • Oh, I am sorry, that is going to make for a long week!  Honestly the anti anxiety meds might not be a bad option.  Good luck this week!
  • Deep breaths - get through this and then you'll be in your sweet new house!

  • I already take anti-anxiety meds.  I even have Ativan for *if* I have a panic attack, which is why I was sure it wasn't an attack when I went to the ER.  Anywho...

They left a couple of hours ago.  She'll be back tomorrow.  Other than being completely nutso about her dogs and my animals (freaking out if her dog sniffed a cat, sure my dog was going to eat her dogs, even though she was SO not interested...) it went pretty well.  She even got along with Redneck.  There may be hope yet!

  • Well, that sounds like it's off to a good start!  Maybe she's had time to think about your last visit together and is going to 'try' to do better!

Lots of T&P for you for your surgery if I miss posting with you!  Hugs to you!!!
  • I hope her next visit goes smoothly (relatively!) too!
  • Wow.  Your week is going to be tiring.  Good luck!  (And wow, Ativan didn't help?  That sucks!)
  • Wendy----- (((HUGS))) ! Hang in there!
