Have you been to the flea market in Brooklyn?
I love markets and swap meats. We're going to NY mid March and I guess there won't be any markets during winter time?? Are all the little "stores" on Canal street still open and what days??
Re: Have you been to the flea market in Brooklyn?
Which flea market in Brooklyn? There's one near me in Sunset Park, Brooklyn and DH and i walked thru once and it was pitiful. And it's closed when it's snowy. So if there's another one, i'm not sure.
Canal Street is *always* open!!

the one under the brooklyn bridge is more of a craft fair but it's a good take. my friend, martin, and some of his etsy team members have a little tent there. my friend is taking the winter off but may be back later in march. his table/shop is called AdornmentsNYC.
it's a nice area to walk around, great view of manhattan and you are are literally under the brooklyn bridge.
this has some good info about upcoming events that my friend's etsy team is doing (and craft fairs/flea markets in general):

I'm not sure about the Brooklyn flea's seasons, but there are two locations, and I think they have a website to see if they are there. There is also one on the upperwest side on Amsterdam or Columbus (I forget which) around 75 st.
Hell's kitchen has a fleamarket too.
The Upper West Side flea market is great. It is every Sunday. My husband and I used to go every week when we lived in that neighborhood. Lots of variety - furniture, antiques, jewelry, crafts, and a small farmers market.
