Marsh - Bobby McKeys

We went Saturday night and it was a lot of fun. Actually, I think it would have been more fun had we not been uber exhausted. But we had a blast.

If you guys go do not eat. The food really isn't worth the price. I got a small pork BBQ sandwich (came with a bag of chips) and it was $12. Totally not worth $12. They only had sandwiches and dips. The dips were ok, but again not worth what I spent. I don't mind paying the DC/Inner Harbor prices for good food. The drinks were good. I got a martini of some kind (I forget the name) and it was yum. DH got a tower of beer. A tower. Those weren't terrible - domestic is $28 and import for $32. DH split one with friend but to me, because he only had 4 drinks and the whole thing holds about 9 glasses (its 100oz) it wasn't worth it only because the beers themselves were $4.50 and his tower was $32. Plus when his friend bought the 2nd DH didn't really have any of it so I think next time we'd skip the tower and just order individual drinks. Overall we spent about $150 on food and drink. Next time I'd skip the food all together and get something more "fun" to drink for my $9 (I had a rum and coke in a small glass for what I could have had a fun drink in a big glass - totally wish I had known that before haha)

The show was awesome. There are 4 pianists and they take turns (2 and 2). I definitely liked one group more than the other but they were both great. There was definite crowd interaction and that was interesting. We went for a friends birthday and there were like a dozen more birthdays and 2 bachelorette parties and then some other party (there is a second on "the floor" of long tables you can reserve and it comes to about $15/person or you can just pay $5 at the door for "standing" room - there are a few high tops in the standing section but its mostly standing room so if you are going to do that get there early).

If you go definitely bring cash - well, if you want to request any songs or the phrase of the night - we didn't have cash so we couldn't make requests but we still had a blast. They do phrase of the night too which is a lot of fun. You just bring up someone you want them to write on their big mirror and give them however much you want. (it started off at $2 and when we left it was up to about $30). You have to bring up more than the last guy to get your phrase to take over theirs. And they will put up anything. We had a little battle between us and one of the bachelorette parties - all in good fun - with the phrase of the night.

They did a salute to our troops and pulled up people that were (or had) served in our Military and sang to them. That was awesome. There was the birthday Hokey Pokey. The wait staff got up and sang a song and did a dance. They have parts where they did full band stuff. Overall, really a great time.

I think we'll definitely go back again.

  • It sounds fun! I'm glad you had a good time!

  • Thanks for the advice on food!  We'll probably go somewhere else for dinner and then head over to the bar.  It sounds like you guys had a great time and I'm really looking forward to going (hopefully in the near future).  Thanks!!
