Favorite Edmonton Restaurant?

I'm planning a little staycation this weekend for DH, my sister offered to take our LO for Friday night. So I'm booking a room on the west end and surprising DH. Nothing fancy, probably heading to Shanks for bowling and billards. Can't wait to have a little bit of time alone together. Any ideas on a great casual restaurant (non-chain) in or around the west end?

Re: Favorite Edmonton Restaurant?

  • This is a family favourite of ours (most of my parent's families are in Edmonton), there are a few locations but they are all in Edmonton

  • Picolinos!!!

An AMAZING Italian Bistro. Awesome food, fantastic environment and reasonable prices too! You will have to make a reservation though, but trust me you won't be dissapointed. The owners are always there and are the most gracious people I have met. It gets amazing reviews as well.

  • Thanks for the recommendations everyone, I have to second the motion on Vies for Pies, Sawmill, and Mongolie grill. I've been to those 3 and they were great. I'll have to choose between the rest for something new, so hard to choose, they all sound great!
