I tried not to rush Dh to get the other washing machine in (you know mine broke) becasue I know he has alot to do. Well he finally gets to it Sunday afternoon, and I go to turn it on to run it through a cycle just to rinse it out. Well it won't come on. So I try to start it at the beginning of a whole cycle, it starts. Ok so I go inside to let it finish, I come back out and it's done(so I think). It has stopped in the middle of the cycle so i try to turn it back on and it won't come on. It made this weird buzzy noise under the control panel. So I call DH and say it's ot working. I'm so irritated at this point that I need to chill, so I go to feed Cash and have some theropy (Cash is my theropist, he's cheap and always there to listen) so DH and BIL look at it and figure out the timer is broken. OH JOY.
While I was still feeding Cash DH took some clothes to G's house to wash them cause he knew I wouldn't want to. Which was thoughtful of him.
So we went on to church and DH went to help G in the nursary cause they were over loaded. So after church I go in there to get DH and G makes the comment that DH brought clothes over to her house and that I can come and "Just wash yours, yourself." in a smartallic, trying to be funny way. UGH I wanted to give her a dirty look so bad. But I just said "Well I'm not just gonna dump my clothes on you, you've got enough peoples clothes to wash." and she didn't have anything to say to that.
But I couldn't help but think (and tell DH) that if he would have put it in a WEEK ago when the other one went out we would have known that this one was broken too and we could have done somthing about it, and I could've been washing clothes by now...UGH!!!
I'm sorry ya'll have to listen to all my junk, thank you for reading this nonsence. I just had to get it off my chest.
Re: We could have known this a WEEK AGO.(vent)
That is just stinky! I'm so sorry...
I was thinking of you the other day... I think our washer is on the 'brink' of going out... the motor, at least... I keep smelling something that's not right-like a burning...
Fortunately, I already have the 'possibly need a new washer' seed planted in DH's head.
I hope it gets better for you! I'm so sorry G is being a smarty pants, but glad to hear you give it back-in a nice way!
...and I love your Cash Therapy!
Not being able to do your laundry is a huge PITA. Our old washer (Which was roughly 20-30 yrs old) would have fits--one time happened the night before I was flying out of the country, and I about had a stroke b/c I didn't have the time to wring them out and let them dry for a million hours. Hope you can get a new washer asap!
That is soooo lame! AND WTH granny for making a snide remark like that. not cool and not helpful at all!
I wish I would have gotten started planting that seed alittle sooner.
Yes...One thing I learned... as long as he's aware of it, he's fine with replacing things... but take him off guard and.. not so good. He even mentioned what type he would want although I'm not so sure he knows what they $$... Mr. I want a front loader...
We'd be taking our clothes (or should I say I ) to the laundromat. I don't even know if he has ever been to one. hm... Pre-DH, that's what I did... Nice to have quarters just to have them...
Wouldn't we all love a front loader. I know I would but yeah not in the budget.
I know I've never been to a laundromat till now and I've been twice in the past month. And yeah DH didn't come either time. So I know what you mean. Men...
Ditto. Sorry hun!
We find out later this week what's wrong with our washer. I have a feeling we should just replace it though. Ah, it's so lovely when unexpected $$ things come up
