Car update

So one of our mechanics just listened to the screeching and said it's the brakes. He said it's bad and don't drive it espcially since I live so far away. We have two options, have them fix it here or have it towed and have it taken somewhere else.

I am leaning towards just having them fix it here so we don't have to have it towed. But dh is concerned about "will they do a good job" and "do I trust them". Yes, I do trust them. It's not like they work for some random mechanic shop. It's my company that I work for. We have hundreds of trucks out on the road everyday. Dh is calling his friend who does brakes and is supposed to call me back. Sigh.. I hate car issues.

Re: Car update

  • Oh and I need to figure out lunch as I didn't bring anything with me. Sad

  • uggh that's not good. Hopefully they can fix it fast and not too expensive.

    Sorry about no lunch :(

  • Ugh, no good! Hopefully you can just get it done there and get it over with.
  • What if you had them fixed there & let dh friend check it out later? Just to make sure the job was done "correctly". ;)

Hopefully someone can pick you up something.

  • Dh just called back and said he is convinced it's a bearing and not the breaks even though he hasn't heard or looked at the car. Why do men have to be stubborn sometimes? He is driving out here to look at it.

Food wise - one of the girls felt bad for me and is going to get me something even though she brought her own food. So sweet of her!

  • He just looked at it and said, yep it's something to do with the brakes and your mechanic was right. Turns out though he remembered that he bought the warranty when he had the brakes done at Sears. So they said bring it in and they would take a look at it. He's driving it back to Riverside now and I have the other car to drive home. It's definitely been an interesting day!
