Today is Namesake Day - who were you named after? Is someone named after you? Post below!
Re: Happy Namesake Day!
I love that song!
Well, I am kid # 6, and after 2 boys then 3 girls, parents were convinced I was to be a boy- named James Patrick. Why they didn't just name me Jamie I don't know. I went nameless for a day until they decided I looked like my brother Michael, so I was named Michelle.
That's a great story!! Ha!
No namesake here - just happy I wasn't a boy or I would have been named after my dad's friend Rodney.
Yeah, NMS. ;-)
My first haircut!
Severe MFI - on to IVF w/ ICSI
IVF#1-2: BFN
IVF#3: BFP! - 1/24: ET - 5d - 2 blasts - 2/02: Beta #1: 16.2 ...... 2/04: Beta #2: 35 ...... 2/09: Beta #3: 401.5 - I'm pregnant! - 2/13: u/s #1 - baby boy, due 10/12, born 10/16! ...... 8 lbs 0 oz, 22 inches!
No namesake for me (other than I know my grandfather loves my name because he's Scottish and loves the hillsides of Heather there).
It's also Dr. Seuss Day!!!
We are celebrating in school. Love it!
My parents got my name from a friend of theirs. Her name was Amy and they really liked it. My boy name was Andrew, which I guess would have been fine too. They liked 'A' names apparently because my sister is Angela.
I was supposed to be Amy Jo, after my dad because his first name is Joseph, but my dad wouldn't let my mom do it, he got mad and refused! I don't know why. Since I heard that story I've always wanted to name my future son Joseph, and I won't let my dad tell me no!
