So annoyed

I've decided to Nest I feel it would be a better use of my time than what I'm currently supposed to be doing.

It would take too long to explain, but in a nutshell I'm being asked to do something merely because someone else is too lazy and/or incompetent to do it themselves.

This annoys me to no end. I'm fuming. Seriously, I'm 98% sure I look like this right now: Angry

Re: So annoyed

  • So sorry! I know how that feels. It sucks! Is there any way you can show that someone else should be doing it instead of you or leverage it so you look better for doing it?
  • Definitely try to use it to your advantage. Then when the lazy/incompetent person walks by accidentally stick your foot out. LOL. Hang in there girl!

  • Oh, my boss is equally annoyed.  I'm supposed to keep track of my 'wasted time' so that we can present it to the guilty party after the fact.

The office that we're doing this for knows the deal and has completed 85% of the work.  The remaining 15%, however, is the most difficult part.  Now, before I can even start the actual work (which will probably take about an hour), I need to spend hours (literally) familiarizing myself with the deal.  Efficient, right?

  • I feel a little better now just venting.

If adult tantrums weren't so inappropriate, I would be stomping around my office right now.  Instead, I'll just Nest with a smile on my face. (And throw the tantrum in my head.)

What are you talking about?  That's totally efficient.  :P

Sounds like some of the contractors I have to work with.  They are so lazy about making markup or providing the correct files so I can do my right the first time!

  • I understand how you feel!!!! I feel like that on a weekly basis!
  • Sorry you're frustrated, but it is completely warranted.  I know just how you feel, and it IS a complete PIA!

At least your boss is in on it, and you are getting the credit that you deserve for the extra work.
