Brainstorming: Gift Ideas

So, BF's birthday is coming up this weekend.

I lost my mind, and decided to give him the number of gifts that equal his age.  (Let's say he's 35; that means 35 presents.)

I came up with a bunch of gift ideas right away, but my brainstorming has totally fizzled with 8 gifts left.  Any inexpensive but really cool gift ideas?  Maybe something Austin-y?  Maybe even fun stuff we could do together?

A sample of what I've got so far:  a restaurant week date, a Hudson's on the Bend date (from the coupon posted last week), gift cards to three favorite coffee shops worth a cup of his usual order, a photo of us together framed, a funny book, the dvds for a season of a show he likes, temporary tattoo paper (and hopefully I'll have time to actually make the tattoos), three post-date ideas, random little stuff like bacon-flavored chapstick and a luck stone.

Help??

  • my brain always goes to food - so a cupcake from hey cupcake, some cake balls from holy cacao?

I like the itunes GC, too.  what about a little cologne bottle?  you can buy little bottles at sephora, banana republic, etc.  I think I've even seen some at marshall's.

ha!  you should buy him a pair of gloves and a hockey puck...just because. ;)

  • lotto tickets, a small set of legos, chocolate, a ridiculous bedroom toy Wink, magazine, fortune cookies.
  • There are some good ideas here!

Here's what I came up with.  Beef jerky, birthday cookie or cupcake (or count his cake!), Keep Austin Weird t-shirt, shotglass, favorite liquor, coupon for massage (or whatever you feel like doing).

This is a fun idea although I think that's too much for me to gather up!

  • I just caught up on your blog and saw that you mentioned he did the marathon?  Maybe some running related things - like packets of Gu, or a new post run recovery shake that would taste good?

My BF and I gave each other almost the exact same things for Christmas.. both being nerd triathletes, we gave each other gu, shakes, random race stuff (I got him a race belt, he got me a bike thing), and stuff from our colleges. Hehe.:)
