WFD????

Are you making something special for dinner tonight?  If so what?  I've suddenly decided that I'm going to do SOMETHING for him, but 1. Don't want to go overboard and cook all day.  2.  Don't want to do something REALLY expensive either.

Any ideas for me?  And did I mention that DH got me sick now and I feel like I have vertigo so I don't want to stand over the stove all day?  I'm such a bum some days!  :)

Re: WFD????

  • I have a few updates in my blog  (even thought it hasn't been updated in forever).  Don't do rack of lamb--This past Saturday I asked DH what he wanted for dinner for V-day as I was looking at the Food Network website for ideas.  He points to rack of lamb which I've never eaten and never purchased.  I went to buy it and it was $30!!!  Of course, it's cheaper than going out, but still....he better freaking like it!!

  • DH is making me his speciality---Chicken Piccata.  It is the best!

  • Rack of Lamb... mmmm sounds good.  But yeah I don't think I'll go that route.  LOL

Chicken Picatta sounds good too, but I made a version of cordeon blue last night for him and our bff so I don't want to do chicken again.

I guess I could do the old stand by of steak and potatoes.
    Doesn't seem very festive though.
  • If I don't feel like spending all day in the kitchen I make steak with creamed spinach and some type of potato. I usually sear the steaks in a pan with some olive oil, salt, and pepper and then just stick them in the oven.
  • Gina&Dave - we had Chicken Piccatta too!  Yummy!
