Just one of those mornings...

So I go out to warm up my car and I hear rustling.  I look over to where the sound is coming from and I see a ground hog hauling @$$ across the street.  I love ground hogs.  I think they're super cute and awesome.

I warm up my car and head inside.  I noticed that some of our flowers from our open house were losing petals so I walked over in the dining room, gathered them up and then threw them away.  I then went back into the master bath to brush my teeth.  I'm brushing away and I see what I think is a leaf on my shoe.  So I bent down to take it off and it's not a leaf.

Can you guess what it was?  And what is now ALL OVER THE ENTIRE FREAKING HOUSE?!  A nice, fresh pile of dog poo.  It took me 10 minutes to clean off my shoes and an extra 15 to clean the carpets, bath mat and hardwood floor.  I'm gagging just thinking about it right now.  I should have gone with my gut when I considered staying home today.  Awesome start to I'm sure what will be an awesome day :-|

On the brighter side of things, I got an A on my midterm :)  Thta make me happy but still does not make up for stepping in dog poo that was in the middle of the sidewalk.  I went outside to take a picture on my phone to send to the condo association to complain, but alas, it was all on my shoe.  Stupid, lazy people!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I stepped in dog poop last week. It isn't fun at all.
  • First...congrats on your midterm :)

I so know the feeling of the dog poo,but it was my dog that stepped in it and then tracked it into my house right before I had to leave for work.  That is the worst thing to clean up!!!  Hopefully the rest of your day gets better!

I'm still grossed out about the news story on department stors and VS selling used underwear.....that has to be the most disgusting thing ever!!!  Even though I wash them first it still completely grosses me out....ewww

I have to go to a meeting at the Board of Education today for one of the programs I use when working with the 1st graders....I hope it doesn't drag, I hate sitting still for to long :)

  • I'm super tired this morning.  Rainy grey days always makes me want to curl right back into bed and sleep the day away.

Since the weather is supposed to be nice this weekend that H and I might plan something to do outside.  We have zero idea what since it's been so long since and outside activity was even on the menu.

  • Ugh...Today sux.

I just found out that my godmother fell off a ladder in her housea couple of weeks ago while changing a lightbulb on a cathedral ceiling.  She fractured her collar bone, broke some ribs and punctured a lung.  To make matters worse, she also cut her spinal cord when she fell.

We were never super close, but I'm still pretty bummed.  She is such a hyper, vivacious person that I can't imagine how this must be for her.  SHe's already had 2 surgeries.  Not really sure if she even has the possibility of walking again.  She's currently undergoing rehab in the city so I'm hoping I can make it out to see her.

Can today just be over already?

  • Sorry for all the bad stories and news. Hope that everyone's days get better.

I did not want to get out of bed this morning. DH and I are going to my ILs tonight to discuss details for our trip next week. My MIL's bday was also on Monday so I need to pick up a gift at some point today. She and I actually shop in the same stores and own a lot of the same clothing (coincidentally), but I want to get a GOOD gift, not just a blah gift bc she always gets be the best stuff. I'll have to put my thinking cap on...

  • Izzy - sorry about your morning and your godmother. I hope she has a quick recovery.

I think it's so ridiculous when people don't pick up their dog's crap. We went out to our car one morning and there was a pile in our driveway. People really have nerve to do that!

I went to bed at 8pm last night. Since Jack has been getting up around 4, I figured I might as well get 8 hours of sleep! sure enough, he was up at 4:45 last night, but he did go back to sleep until 5:45. I think he's getting more teeth - I don't know why else he'd be waking up like that. He was sleeping through the night for awhile.

I've been working on this one deal at work for so long (I'm negotiating the contract for my company, along with one of our attorneys). I'm just so sick of it! I hope it signs soon.

  • I stepped in a massive amount of dog poop one time and had to throw my shoe away at that very moment.  I really liked those shoes no less but there was no way to save them.  I get upset when I see people not clean up after their dogs.  You wouldn't leave your baby's dirty diaper on someone's lawn would you?

  • Izzy my day just went downhill too.  I'll meet you for a bottle of wine later.

My husband just emailed me to say that he asked his mom if she was doing anything for his step dad's birthday this weekend.  She said she wasn't sure and then my husband offered to have the entire family over to our house for pizza, cake, and ice cream on Sunday.  Of course after he offered and she thought it was a great idea he threw in the "let me ask Natalie first" line.  As if I can say no now.  So instead of having a relaxing weekend with the nice weather I'll be cleaning my house and making a freaking cake.

  • It is one of those days! Izzy I hope your godmother has a speddy recovery. She is the 3rd person I know who has fallen recently my mom broke her foot changing the battery in the smoke detector and my friends mom fell off a couch while cleaning the blings and broke her back.

I woke up and thought it was Thursday:( and my father in law just keeps thinking of ways to take my house apart and put it back together. He's driving me nuts!!

  • Izzy I hope you're day is improving!

I have a couple of appointments today so MIL is at our house so she can stay with DS while I run out. I'll admit I'm having a slight case of he's MY baby in my head. Ha.

  • Wow, I'm sorry about all your crappy days! I almost feel guilty hating life and the 5,000 meetings I had today. This is the first chance I've had to breathe.
