holycowyeesh! Dr. Phil anyone

I seriously feel sorry for this man. Since when is a daughter entitled to dictate to an adult parent how to send/invest their money? This talk about wills, etc makes me sad. Is all our relationships boil down to about the all mighty dollar? If my parents want to blow all their money on my br and sis, then more power to them. I'm not entitled to it anyway. If my parents left me a dollar, I'd be grateful.

Re: holycowyeesh! Dr. Phil anyone

  • my mom jokingly said she plans on spending her last dollar with her last breath and I said good!  It's her money she should spend it how ever she wants to.  I have 0 claim to it and adult children who are counting on parents leaving them cash are lame and need to make their own way.  ::coughcousin-in-lawcough::
  • I didn't see it but on the flip side, I also not a fan of parents who feel like their children are required to financially support them when they get older.

I totally agree with this. I used to jokingly tell my mom that they better put money away for when they can't care for themselves cause I sure as hell wasn't going to foot the bill! lol I would rather see my parents enjoy themselves and be comfortable than live furgally just leave money to grown ups with jobs!

  • My brother once told my parents "I will find you the best rest home your money can buy!"
  • Ha! I like your bro!
