Same thing different name????????????
Today I ordered some corn bread dressing at our cafeteria which was on the menu by the way, the cafeteria lady had know idea what I was talking about. What I call dressing, she calls stuffing even though I have heard of it both ways, I still tend to say dressing. So, this got me thinking to this..............................
I'm curious what do you say or call the following things :

Color or rinse: Each is used differently for me, a rince is like a semi-color and color is well coloring your hair

extensions or weaves: okay let me explain. I say extensions normally but I have some caucasian co-workers who have no idea what I mean when I say that so I say weave to them.
perm or relaxer: retouch or relaxer. I used to say perm but I stopped long ago
Color or rinse: both, they are two different things.
Mom/Mother/Ma: ma or mama
Father/Dad/Daddy:
"deddy" for some reason we (our family) say it with a short e sound.
