  • Dear god no. Just not our style.

  • They still have a resort like that in the Poconos -- it was immensely popular at one time; don't know if it still is.

    I'd go for sh!ts n giggles.

You can make fun of the other couples.  Just like when DH and I went to Olive Garden this V-day to watch women getting proposed to there.

We sat at the bar to watch the Olympics, so I guessed we missed all the lovey-doveyness.  Meh.

  • My DH grew up in the Poconos and I always joke with him about getting one of those rooms. We never would though, but I love to tease!
  • I think  there are 3 places in the poconos all own by Caesars resorts. My X worked for Caesars so we would go about 2x each year. We paid about 60 a night..that includes 3 meals, horseback riding...etc...we had so much fun.

I remember those commercials - they were on all the time...

  • No, LOL!!!!
  • Definitely not our style, so I honestly can't see us staying someplace like that.  Although $60/night with meals and horseback riding?  I might make an exception for that (I *love* horseback riding) -- but it would be about the horses, not the kitsch.
When it's all said and done, what matters most is your relationships with other people; without good friends and family, what's the point?
