I just read your blog that you link on your nest profile. So cute! I'm actually starting one myself this week. I need a creative outlet and I'm on a mission to accomlish a lot of goals this year. I love how you link them into your blog!
PS: I'm coming back from a pretty significant back injury myself so let me know if that yoga class helps. What gym did you guys end up joining?
Re: ~~Firefly062~~
Hi!
I've been really bad about keeping up with that blog. I mean to and then I forget all about it. I'm going to try to be better about it. Otherwise, there's no point in having it there!
We ended up joining the Waltham Athletic Center. The physical therapist I went to is Back on Track and the office is in the WAC. So I was going there anyway, and you get a discount if you are a patient at Back on Track. My husband & I both joined and I got that discount and my husband got 10% off. And I've heard you can haggle with them! I pay less for my husband AND me than I was for just me at another place..
It's not big and new and fancy, but there's a pool that's always open, a big cardio area, a huge weight room and a room with tons of circuit training equipment. There's tennis, raquetball, basketball courts, stretching/aerobic rooms and some, but not a ton of classes available. Yoga 3 or 4x a week, Pilates, spinning, abs etc.
So far, I've been to the yoga class 3 times. It's not crazy intense and there are people of all skill levels there, so I never feel intimidated or nervous. And if there are things that I can't do, I kind of wait it out until we move on to something else. I feel ok afterwards but the next day I've been pretty achy.
What is your back injury?
My pelvic actually moved out of place. It was pretty nasty and they had to get it back in place and on top of that I got a herniated disc from the injury as well. It was so horrible, I wouldn't wish that pain on anyone!
Sorry I missed the GTG tonight, I hope it was great! I had to work until 8 tonight. I hope we do another Waltham GTG soon!
oh my goodness. That does sound very painful. I hope that it's starting to get better. I honestly can't even imagine what that must feel like.
We can definitely work on the next G2G
