Dinner for High School Kids...

OK...so I am a first year theatre teacher and I have been nominated to host the annual UIL One Act Play dinner out my house. UILOAP is a big deal...so it needs to be a little "fancy" and special. I will be feeding about 17 kids and 4ish adults. What could I make that seems sit down and special, but that doesn't take a huge huge amount of time to prepare? I need entree, side dishes, and dessert....

Re: Dinner for High School Kids...

  • This isn't sit down but it is fairly simple. You could do a pasta bar type thing, two or three different pastas and two or three different sauces. Do a salad and somehting for dessert. This feeds a lot of people and is pretty easy to prepare.

  • lasagna, salad, garlic bread
  • Will your DH be there to help you?  If so, you could have him do steaks on the grill.  You could do the salad and mixed veggies as a side.  For dessert,  I like cheesecake with different topping choices, choc syrup, cherries, strawberries.
