sooo is sayid now evil?
why does bad-locke need recruits? what's he going to do with them?
is miles dead?
why didn't claire kill kate?
how was i-don't-like-the-way-english-tastes (i didn't catch his name) keeping the smoke monster out? and where did he learn hand-combat skills if his previous job was management? good enough to beat sayid?!
where's parallel-sun when jin's hanging in the frig?
who put parallel-jin in the frig? the island-marine? was he the fil's business partner who was supposed to get the watch? business deal gone bad?
this was a jack-free episode.
Re: LOST! (spoilers)
I hate that Sayid is team evil now.
How is it that Kate is the only one that is not on team evil that survived the smoke monster attack?
Maybe paralle-Sun has already left Jin. Wasn't he involved in some bad business deals?
No Sawyer this episode either
Yeah, an evil Sayid is kind of scary. We'll see where that goes. I was totally surprised when he just started killing everyone! They usually don't do it that way - but I guess they have to wrap it up, right?
EvilLocke.. not sure why he needs recruits yet. Maybe he eats souls who come to him willingly or something like that. :P Kidding, kind of.
I'm betting Miles is still alive, and will have survived the same way the others did - ducking into a wall or something - and they'll all meet up with Jack and Hurley later on. I smell a good vs evil face off! What are we going to call those teams? Team Jacob and Team Evil? heh.
I think Kate got lucky. Maybe Claire thinks that EvilLocke will make her "hurt" if she doesn't listen or whatever. That has to lead to another story. I kept waiting for her to yell out that Claire's mom has Aaron, but no such luck.
I agree with Sun leaving Jin in parallel world - I bet she skipped out on him at the airport. Jin must have gotten involved with those guys in some random backwards way though Sun's father. Maybe next episode will be Sun/Jin centric? They haven't had one yet.
I am so, so sad about Sayid. He was my favorite character, and I felt like I could always count on his intuition as being right. Now he seems just crazy.
Annddd...super dorky comment, but his "fall" last night TOTALLY made me think of when Anakin Skywalker became Darth Vadar. Being swayed by the possibility of seeing the woman he loves again, going off and killing a bunch of people, becoming batshitcrazy, etc.
I wondered if they were trying to show Sayid was always evil even if he tried to be good - b/c in both story lines he was killing people. But then I also wonder if he is really evil or if something else is going on. Boo. I don't want evil Sayid.
And poor Sun - everyone has seen Jin but her. I also kept waiting for Kate to tell Claire that Aaron was w/ Claire's mom. Claire is batty. Do think that will happen to all the people that follow faux Locke?
I can't just think it's going to be good vs. evil. Something else has to happen. And neither Kate or Miles are dead. And the people that left the temple aren't either nor is Sawyer. So obviously - you can follow evil Locke but perhaps he can't possess you unless you die?
Watched it last night. Anyone still here? Hellloooooo....echo...
Nooooo, not Sayid! He can't be evil. I haven't had his babies yet. I agree with Abrooks. The theme of this show is redemption. Redeming yourself for past mistakes and finding the good in yourself. Sayid has tried many times to be good. Even in his parellel universe life he is a killer. It doesn't matter that the reason he killed those men (to protect Nadia and the kids) was noble. He's still a killer and always will be. I think that, aside from the temptation of seeing Nadia again, Sayid is accepting who he is at the core. Just like Locke always said, "don't tell me what I can't do." He finally resigned to what he can do.
I think the only way Claire could have killed Kate was to snap her neck or something. I think the temple people took all her stuff/weapons away.
I don't know how the temple people kept the smoke monster out of the temple. The only thing I can think of is that it was some kind of "collective hope" that kept him out. Kind of like "live together, die alone" from Dr. Jack in the very first episode.
Me!! Me!!
I'm wondering if it has something to do with the "candidate." Apparently Dogen was "the" person keeping ol' smokey out. Maybe he somehow went from candidacy to protector somehow?
Finally watched. I love Sayid, and I love love love that he is bad now. Bad Sayid=awesomeness
Also, smoke monster Locke can't kill Kate, or anyone else written on the cave wall, b/c they are candidates. I don't think this precludes Claire from trying to kill Kate though. Locke's goal might be to get others to kill them for him though. I don't think he wants any candidates left
I finally got to watch last night. I'm torn about Sayid. He has always been one of my favorite characters but like pp said, I actually kind of like evil Sayid
There is something really sexy about evil Sayid, I loved the look as he walked away at the end
Ditto about Kate- fake Locke can't kill her because she is a candidate. Claire should have killer her though if we are sticking to the story line but, eh, lost writers do what they want, we all know that. Interestingly her number is NOT one of the numbers from the lottery numbers. Means (at least to me) that she is a "less important" candidate as far as the show is concerned. Also makes me think she might turn evil. Then her and Sawyer can have little evil babies. However I really think Sawyer will be on the good side at the end (because of redemption of course). Oh well and Sawyer IS one of the lottery numbers... so is Sayid though and he is evil now... hhhmmm... now I'm just thinking "out loud"
Miles communicating with the dead has come in handy many times- I have a feeling he will be around until the end because of this skill.
Good vs. Evil and Redemption. These concepts have definitely always been what lost is about and yes I think it will come down to a "good vs. evil" showdown. I've kind of giving up predicting though and am trying to just live in the moment with this show. It seems like the second you think you have something figured out they completely change it!
