Alright ladies, get those good vibes going again!
My moms cousin is rushing to get on a plane to Alabama right now to be with his grandaughter. Both their grandkids have always been really unhealthy and constantly in the hospital, and until a few months ago the grandkids lived with my moms cousin and his wife.
We just heard they are airlifting their 3 year old granddaughter to a children's hospital. All this time our family has been mumbling about how they think the girls' mom has some mental problem and doesn't take care of the kids . . . and now we are finding out the poor little thing is legitimately sick. The doctors discovered today she has no platelets . . . I don't know what that means for her really . . . but they are airlifting her to the hospital right now and told my cousin it is very serious, perhaps even fatal.
Keep this little girl in your prayers. My mom and her cousin are very close, like siblings, so this is really hitting close to home. My cousins are living in Alabama with some relatives on her husbands side and apparently there isn't even electricity where they live . . . who knows what kind of conditions the kids were in . . .ugh.

I think no platelets in the blood means that her blood does not clot properly.

I do know that the body can re-grow platelets with the help of a donation. I donated platelets for my dad.
I hope the Children's hospital can give her a chance at recovery.
