Do you own...

rain boots or snow boots?  Do you love them or never wear them?

I just bought my very first pair of rain boots ever.  El Nino talked me into it.  It's been raining here every week since the start of this year so I am hoping to get a lot of use out of them.

Re: Do you own...

  • I bought a pair of rain boots last year when we went to our annual snow camp because I didn't want to spend the money on new snow boots.  I have used them SO MUCH this year.  They are very cold in the snow but they're great for this rainy California winter we're having!
  • P.S.  They're my first pair ever too!  Smile
  • Bought my first pair ever last year at Target.  They are black with white polka dots!  LOVE them.  Wore them when we went to New Orleans last year because it rained a ton.  Worn them ever since... :)
  • I actually don't own any rain boots, but snow boots are a necessity up here (well, they usually are.  You Southern ladies have gotten all our snow this year).  I've got a great pair that are super warm and comfortable.  Sometimes I bring cute shoes to work, thinking I'll change shoes at the office, but then am too comfortable to do it.

  • No, but I should.  Walking Pugsly is getting messier and messier with the snow melting.  (You've never seen such a muddy dog.)  I need something I can muck up and wash off easily.
  • I have rain boots because when it rains in NYC, the streets tend to flood pretty easily... and being in real estate, I am out-and-about a LOT, regardless of the elements. However, you get what you pay for. I have a cute pair that are black with a gray band around the base of the foot and at the top of calf, but the rubber cracked right where why toes bend and now my socks get wet every time! Guess it's time to shell out some dough for new ones. Wait, Millie... does it rain in SF? Wink

Yes, it does rain here... it's not always blue skies and sunshine despite the "Sunny California" nickname.

  • No rain boots but absolutely own snow boots.  In fact, I own 2 pairs.  One pair is for tromping around outside in serious snow.  The other are my uggs which I wear to work.
  • I bought some rainboots for my trash the dress session. I have used them once before at the beach. probably use them this summer.
