so at applebees the other night, my FI and i were talking to a couple we are really good friends with about sex. not sure how we got on the subject but, my Fi says he has to turn me down because i wear him out. (he has back and neck issues, and our lives have been exhausting lately)
i do initiate sex slightly more often than he does, but he doesnt turn me down, we just tone down how rowdy we are when hes super tired, if hes hurting we adjust our positions to suit.
the guy friend said that it is very backwards, that usually the girls turn down the guys (hes told me before that he wishes she would initiate the sex more often)
i thought it was funny.
are we backwards?
also i hope that i didnt make my Fi out to be unstatisfying or something, because he never ceases to amaze me and i have no complaints. thinking back, i worry it might have sounded bad.
how might i fix this?

Re: we are "backwards"
You are not "backwards", and every couple has a different sex life than the next.
I don't think you said anything to make your FI sound bad. If anything, the other guy made his SO look bad. A little redundant, sorry. It's 4am.
This exactly. that stereotype was made up of men trying to make themselves look good. It has NOTHING to do with real life. I think a lot of us women wish we got laid more.

Applebee's is sick I can't believe you ate there.
Your friend has some very antiquated views about sex and female sexuality. I bet he does like sex more than his partner, but that's probably because he isn't pleasing her.
Ditto on all 3 counts.
DH is 8 yrs older than me...I understand the feeling sometimes!!
