Makeup in/around Winston-Salem
Hi ladies,
I am helping my sister find a makeup artist for her June wedding. I used Updos for mine ages ago but felt it was kind of pricey. She rarely wears makeup and is looking to to experiment with a couple of options. What experiences have you all had the counters at the dept. stores? Thanks!

The makeup counter people at Hanes Mall tend to only want to do your makeup if they think you are going to BUY from them as they are commission based.
You would be better off using one from an upscale spa that you pay for their services rather than their makeup or one of the beauty school instructors/students.
Having said that, I did have good luck with Lancome at Belk at Hanes because they do makeover demonstration classes and some of their associates do freelance.
